The story behind Passy

From a young age, Cain loved football. Not just the game itself, but everything around it. The smell of wet grass, the clatter of studs in the locker room, the tension before kickoff. Football brings people together, and one thing was clear: Cain wanted to be a part of it.
Like so many others, it started with the dream of becoming a professional player. But it soon became clear that the talent was less exceptional than the passion. So it remained Sunday matches with a team of friends.
But one thing never went away: the urge to do more with football. Not just stand on the sidelines, but play. Contribute something. Change something.
And that chance came, unexpectedly, during a school project.
From frustration to idea
For the project, Cain had to write a business plan. Not just another school task, but a problem he knew all too well. His thoughts went straight to the pitch: soles that ripped apart, boots that didn’t make it to the end of the season. Buying new ones every time. Disappointed every time.
And he asked himself: Why do we accept this as normal?
That’s how the idea was born: football boots that don’t give up before you do. Boots built for durability, not quick profit. Substance before marketing. Design without nonsense.
The idea was pitched, earned the highest grade, but more importantly: it stuck. It didn’t feel like schoolwork. It felt like the start of something bigger.
From sketch to shoebox

Through the internet, Cain got in touch with Buddy, a middleman from Vietnam who could connect him with the right factories. Not long after, he boarded a plane to Ho Chi Minh City. Full of excitement, sketches under his arm, and an idea that wouldn’t let go.
Together with Buddy, he went from factory to factory, looking for a partner who understood. A few months later, the first samples arrived.
And they were… terrible. The quality was far from what it needed to be.
But give up? Not for a second.

Cain went back to the drawing board. New manufacturer, better materials, different approach. Months of testing. Fine-tuning. Testing again.
Until the moment everything came together: the first Passy boot that met all the requirements and was ready for the pitch.

And then, on a quiet Tuesday afternoon in February 2025, the first shipment arrived.
A van turned into the street, the back doors opened, and there they were. Box after box. Brand new Passy boots. No longer a prototype, no longer a sketch on paper, no longer a dream in his head — but a real product. In his own hands.
A dream? Yes.
But one that was built through hard work.
What makes Passy different
Passy is the only football boot brand born in the Netherlands.
And you can feel that. In how we think, how we design, how we deliver.
Our boots are made with the same belief that drives our brand: to last. Not just for a while, but for the long run. So you only buy new boots when you decide, not because you’re forced to.
The sole isn’t just glued, but firmly connected to the upper with pins and double stitching. That way, the sole won’t come loose and can handle your most intense gameplay with ease. The upper is both strong and flexible: built for comfort and long-term use.
No hype. No fast-fading colors. Just a boot that does what you need, with a style that stands out. Not made for trends, but for the game.
Who we do it for
Passy is for the striker who still gives everything at 38.
For the midfielder who prefers to play twice on Sundays.
For the defender who knows his opponent by first name.
For those who play with passion, no matter the level.
Whether you're playing in the local leagues or packed stadiums: at Passy, you belong.
Welcome to Passy FC.
